I would love to share with you 7 ways to connect to your inner goddess.  The Sacral Chakra is the energy centre of our emotions.  It is also our place of pleasure and a celebration of sensuality. To help create balance and healing in this chakra we can use yoga practice together with energy medicine healing.

One of my favourite yoga asanas for this chakra is called the Reclining Goddess Posture. It puts you in touch with a sense of openness, receptivity, sensuality and discovering your own inner Goddess!

  1. Yoga asana – Goddess Posture
  2. Crystal: Carnelian
    For extra energising, place the crystal between the navel and the pubic bone as you lie in the reclining Goddess Posture.
  3. Sound Vibration: Crystal bowls
    Over 70% of your body is made up of water, water is the element of the sacral chakra. Through the vibrations of sound, the water is stirred, creating a cleansing, balancing and healing.

  4. Breath
    Connect with your breath as you take your awareness to the sacral area. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your tummy as you breathe.  Expanding on the in breath and contracting on the out breath.
  5. Visualisation: Visualise your breath as the colour of a sunset and allow yourself to bathe in its glow. With each breath visualise you are breathing the colour orange of the sunset into the sacral area.
  6. Affirmations:
    As you have finished the asana, visualisation and breathing practice. Sit comfortably and read these affirmations out loud to yourself.

I acknowledge my uniqueness,

I am a unique manifestation of

Divine energy in physical form.

I acknowledge sensuality of my body.

I am a sensual and creative being.

I attract only whole and nurturing

relationships into my life.

 

  1. Mindfulness
    After your practice ask yourself “What will be my centring thought for today?”
    The more you feel into your body during a practice you will become more aware of the quiet voice within and that will guide you to your Highest Good.

 

How-to:

 

  1. You will need a blanket or towel to roll up to help open up the heart centre and also a couple of cushions (if you need them) to support your legs.
  2. Lie down flat on your back.  Tilt your pelvis slightly to bring the lower back close to the ground beneath you.
    Take the shoulders back so that the upper back is aligned.  Extend the back of your neck so your head is aligned.
  3. Lift both knees up, bringing your feet up against your hips.
  4. Let your knees fall open to either side (see tips below), bringing the soles of your feet together.
  5. Take your arms above your head and take your hands into prayer position.  If this is difficult hold the hands at heart level.

 

Tips:

7 Ways to Connect to Your Inner GoddessIf you feel some pain in your hip joints, slide blocks (or rolled up blankets) under your thighs toward your hips, picking a spot on each side where your thigh is supported and able to relax without pain or discomfort.

 

If you feel uncomfortable with the legs apart then have the legs together and outstretched.  As you progress in your practice move the legs apart as you feel comfortable.

 

If it feels too much to concentrate on all aspects, then build gradually.  Start with the posture, then add the focus on the breath, then the visualisation, then the crystal, then the music and then the affirmations. (all detailed below).

 

You are working on many different energetical levels to cleanse, heal and balance the sacral chakra.

 

Make this a regular practice, perhaps once a week.  Just lie down, breath and visualise.  Make is as simple or as elaborate as the occasion allows. When you have completed the practice spend a few moments in reflection and scan your body giving thanks to the goddess within you.

 

 

Creating Your Life from the Inside Out

Use the above to create your own practice, to nourish and balance your Soul energy and so create the Life you were meant to live!  Creating a Life of Flow! You will resonate at a higher frequency and attract to you the same, thus flowing in resonance with The Law of Attraction.
