7 Steps to Becoming a Warrior of Peace Within
Become a Warrior not a Worrier
I think that I was born a worrier! – but I have become a warrior! I don’t know about you, for me it started as a child. I always used to have the Sunday evening butterflies in the pit of my stomach and then my mind would start racing and by bedtime I had made myself ill. This was just with the thought of going back to school on Monday. I would worry if my uniform was ready, my lunch money sorted, my gym kit packed, my homework done and if my best friend would be there for playtime. When I got older the worries just changed in relation to my activities, but the feelings stayed the same.
Aura of Worry
When we are wracked with worry we think others completely crazy when they say to us “Stop worrying”. We think they have no appreciation or understanding of our situation. Generally our worry goes round and round in circles thinking of possible outcomes, usually negative. We tell ourselves that our worry is really us trying to find a solution, worry is never the creator of solutions it usually generates Fear. The more we justify our state of worry the more we engage and own the feelings. They become our primary activity of our mind and affect our whole energy body in a negative way. You lose the strength that you need and create a prison that seems impossible to escape from. It all become a vicious circle of growing worry and anxiety.
When I see the auras of people who are suffering in this way, the aura shrinks close to the body and is weakened. This affects the body’s natural defence system of immunity thus increasing the risk of illness. It also reduces the natural protection from the negativity around us from sources such as: other people, television, radio, mobile devices, traffic, and work. As the aura shrinks the person becomes more sensitive, anxious and stressed.
What if we parked our worry to one side and made some space in our heads for Divine Intervention and trusted that with some co-creation with the Universe, we could find a potential solution or at least a choice or option. The very best use for your imagination is creativity, using it to the positive rather than creating Fear. The worst use of imagination results in anxiety, it takes away your peace and will never give you the chance of changing an outcome. This is where we say “Trust the Universe and release”. Most of what we worry about never happens, making space for imagination and creation gives you the opportunity to invite inspiration.
When you create space in your head, by taking a walk, a bath, a break and doing something else….. you boost your energy and feel less drained. You find you are more in a position of openness and receptivity and better prepared to be inspired and take positive action. Worrying is like walking around with an umbrella waiting for it to rain! While you are waiting you might as well be using the time more productively instead of spiraling down into a place you feel totally stuck.
Messages to the Universe
We tend to only think of all the things that can go wrong, what about all the things that could go right? Worrying is like praying for what you don’t want rather than sending a clear message to the Universe. We can be rather confusing and send mixed messages at times. Be clear, think about what you do want and not what you don’t want. In worry we think in negative terms and these are the vibrations we send out into the Universe. When we want to attract the positive into our lives we must resonate in the same vibration. Like attracts like. You must become the match to those things you wish to bring into your life. You are communicating every moment with a Higher Power than you, believe in the possibility of miracles.
Take One day at a Time
Sometimes we just have to take a day at a time, doing the best we can do, not being afraid to ask for help from others and being open and patient to Universal timing. Sometimes the pause is there for a reason. You don’t know how situations may change for the better, who you may meet, what opportunities may present themselves….. you cannot predict the future. You can work on becoming the best you can be – to be ready. Don’t move into your tomorrows too quickly. You need your energy and strength for today, for this moment. Trust the timing of your life! All eventualities are precious lessons for our growth and spiritual evolution. There is only one thing within our control and that is how we treat ourselves. Be gentle with yourself.
7 Steps to Becoming a Warrior of Peace Within
- Before you sleep visualise the wings of your Guardian Angel wrapping around you in a loving embrace.
- When you begin to awaken, before you open your eyes, take one hand to your 3rd Eye Chakra (forehead) and the other to lie across the Solar Plexus Chakra (navel). Visualise healing light and the warmth of Love bathe you. Worry resides in the relation between the Solar Plexus Chakra and the 3rd Eye Chakra.
- As you open your eyes, smile the biggest smile. Greet your day!
- Affirm: “I trust the Universe and I am open to Divine Inspiration.” “I choose Peace”.
- Breathe in Peace as a white light, breathe out worry as cloud of smoke.
- Interrupt worry with gratitude. What are you most thankful for in this moment?
- Slow down. Decide to have ‘plodding’ day. Just one single, small, slow step at a time. Let mindfulness accompany your ‘plodding’. Be totally present in each single, small, slow step at a time.
